“After a lengthy search, a 25-year veteran city administrator from Orange County has been tapped to become the next city manager of Manhattan Beach.
The City Council is expected formally approve a contract next week for David Carmany and he would start work Jan. 10, officials confirmed Wednesday.
The announcement comes nearly one year to the day that Geoff Dolan, the former city manager, abruptly stepped down, a decision council members and Dolan described at the time as mutual. Dolan received a $194,640 settlement from the city.”
