La Puente will be adding new safety features to crosswalks across the city using a recently awarded $783,600 federal grant, officials announced Thursday.
The Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program grant will fund flashing beacons on stop signs and the sides of the roads, curb extensions and advanced pavement markings in eight different locations.
